Figure of Eight World Final 1998

This year drivers had to qualify on the night for the Championship Race, the cars were split into thirds and had one chance only, No Consolation Race!

This produced some determined driving and the resulting action left many cars very bent.

The Public Draw is here conducted with the help of Steve McFadden alias Phil Mitchell from Eastenders.

The main race was nearly won by Mark Welland but he was taken out on the crossover very spectacularly with just 20yds to run, leaving 218 Lee Cleland from Incarace to come home first.
