Figure of Eight World Final 1997

Drivers from many promotions contested this year's Figure of Eight World Final.

Two Semi Finals had been held at Gt Yarmouth and Wimbledon, four drivers from each of these had been seeded straight into the final, whilst the remainder competed in three qualifying heats on the night and the late 449 Mark Boulden won the World Final.

An Oval Race and a Destruction Derby finished the night.

Heavy action in the D/D by Geoff Bowen produced many wrecks and the other races all had their share of action.
